From May 2 to May 8th, Mantra and Mela will be taking part in the 12th annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer. Restaurants and Bakeries all over boston will each choose a special dessert to donate to the cause. Last year, Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer raised over $1.4 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. All proceeds from Mantra’s White Coco Nib Bread Pudding and Mela’s Cardamom Chocolate Mousse go to Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer from May 2nd to May 8th.

A few of us went over to Dosa Factory in Central Square on Tuesday to eat take pictures of some of their incredible Dosas. For those unfamiliar, a Dosa is an Indian crepe made with rice batter and lentil. Dosa Factory has taken the Dosa concept a step further. Rather than only offering traditional Dosa fillings, Dosa factory makes these South-Indian crepes into anything you can imagine, including a breakfast Dosa, beef and potatoes Dosa, Mexican Dosa, and Dessert Dosas. We tried the Tikka Chana Dosa, the Kerala Seafood Dosa, Chicken Tikka Dosa and our favorite, the Carrot Cake Dosa! All of them were delicious to the point where we couldn’t stop eating until we were absolutely stuffed! Almost all of the items on Dosa Factory’s menu are under $10. We’re looking forward to seeing some of these Dosas at our new Dosamobile Food Truck later this Spring!
